MRMC Welcomes New Primary Care Provider at Moberly Rural Health Clinic
Moberly, MO. (July 27, 2021) – MRMC Chief Executive Officer Brent Parsons announced Clark H. Butler, D.O., will join the medical staff August 2. Dr. Butler comes to MRMC from his residency in family medicine at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, which is an affiliate of MU Health Care, where he has been since July 2018.
Dr. Clark H. Butler received his medical degree from A.T. Still University in Kirksville. He is a member of the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons and the American Osteopathic Association. Prior to his medical career, Dr. Butler was an electrical engineer for over 10 years having received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Portland State University in Portland, Ore.
“We are extremely pleased Dr. Butler decided to join the primary care providers at Moberly Rural Health Clinic,” Parsons said. “His medical knowledge and expertise combined with his dedication to patient care will benefit so many residents in this area.”
Although he has practiced outside of the Moberly area, Dr. Butler is familiar with MRMC and the surrounding communities.
“The first experience I had with MRMC was as a medical student when I was able to spend several months at MRMC with rotations in ER and gynecology,” Dr. Butler said. “The time spent at MRMC was a really interesting and positive experience. The staff were enjoyable to work with and the patient population was really engaging, so when the opportunity presented to join the team it was pretty exciting.”
Dr. Butler’s practice will specialize in a variety of medical treatments and diagnoses including: acute and chronic pain, cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, neurologic, infectious disease, pediatric, geriatric, and many others.
“Medical standards of care are generally well documented and reassuring,” Dr. Butler said. “How we get each patient to that point is a much more nuanced venture. It seems apparent that optimal patient care is a cooperative endeavor between the healthcare team and patient that must be tailored to the individual. A foundation of competence, kindness, honesty and active listening to both the patient and the health care team is a good place to start.”
Dr. Butler is accepting new patients at the clinic, which is located at 1501 Union Ave. in Moberly, MO. To make an in-person or telehealth appointment, call (660) 263-4770 or visit www.moberlyphysicians.com.
