Moberly Regional Medical Center Delivering Quality Care and More to North Central Missouri

MOBERLY, Mo. – Moberly Regional Medical Center provided care to thousands of area residents in 2024, with more than 87,000 patient encounters across its network of physician clinics and other outpatient sites of care. In addition to delivering safe, quality, compassionate healthcare, the health system is helping those in need, supporting charitable organizations and contributing to the area economy. In its most recent Community Benefit Report, Moberly Regional Medical Center’s impact totaled more than $38 million in 2024.
Moberly Regional Medical Center’s emergency room provides lifesaving, medically necessary care at more than 12,000 patient encounters each year, treating all patients regardless of their ability to pay. In 2024, Moberly Regional Medical Center provided more than $8 million in charity and uncompensated care and provided resources to help patients in need to secure medications and medical support devices.
The health system and its employees also support local organizations that make a difference, especially those addressing social determinants of health. Through service projects such as the annual Jars of Love peanut butter drive for Christos Center Food Bank and contributions to charitable organizations such as Moberly Public Schools Foundation, Randolph County Ministerial Alliance and area high schools, Moberly Regional Medical Center gives back to the community throughout the year.

The achievement of six years free of a Serious Safety Event, five years without a hospital acquired infection of MRSA and CLABSI, and three years without a hospital acquired infection for CAUTI demonstrates Moberly Regional Medical Center’s commitment to provide every patient with safe, quality care. MRMC continues to expand medical services and add technologies that mean better care for our patients. With three robotically-trained surgeons, robotic surgery is offered for procedures such as gallbladder, appendectomy, hernia, hysterectomy and more.
To enhance patient care and expand healthcare access, Moberly Regional Medical Center is investing in medical services, facilities and technologies. Capital projects in 2024 totaled approximately $929,000 and included equipment upgrades for general and uro-gynecology surgery equipment, pharmacy equipment, and a refresh of the main lobby waiting room to enhance the patient and visitor experience.
The hospital also took steps to strengthen surgical services and technologies that mean better care and positive outcomes for patients. With three surgeons trained in performing robotic assisted surgery, the technology is used for procedures such as gallbladder, appendectomy, hernia, hysterectomy and more. Access has been enhanced at two primary care clinics with telehealth offerings, online scheduling, and next-in-line scheduling.
“We are strategically applying our resources to help area residents have access to the care they need close to home,” Hall said. “These investments, along with our outstanding medical staff and employees, support our delivery of high quality medical care and services for a positive patient experience.”
Moberly Regional Medical Center is one of the community’s larger employers with a payroll of approximately $26 million. Support for the future healthcare workforce includes training the next generation of medical professionals. MRMC serves as a clinical rotation site for students in a variety of health fields at area colleges and universities including Moberly Area Community College, Truman State University and Central Methodist University. In addition to supporting the local economy through job creation, Moberly Regional Medical Center paid more than $3 million in taxes in 2024, monies that support local infrastructure and civic resources.
