MRMC Welcomes New Interventional Cardiologist at Moberly Heat and Vascular

Moberly Regional Medical Center (MRMC)'s chief executive officer Ben Hughes announced board-certified interventional cardiologist Prasanna Sengodan, M.D., will join the medical staff on November 3. Dr. Sengodan comes to MRMC from Eastern Carolina University Health in Greenville, NC, where he has been since 2022.
Dr. Sengodan received his medical degree from Thanjavur Medical College in Chennai, India. He completed an internal medicine residency at at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, an internal medicine chief residency at Yale University Affiliate - Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT, a cardiology fellowship at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, and a structural interventional cardiology fellowship at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV.
Dr. Sengodan’s practice will offer a wide range of diagnostic services and treatments for general cardiology, heart attack, congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, pacemaker/ICD placement and coronary stent placement. He will provide a number of procedures including cardiac rehabilitation, cardiac stress test, cardioversion, angioplasty and pacemaker and defibrillator procedures.

Dr. Sengodan holds board certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine - Cardiovascular Disease, American Board of Internal Medicine - Interventional Cardiology, American Board of Nuclear Cardiology and American Society of Adult Echocardiography.
