North central Missouri residents can have access to cardiology and neurology care close to home.
July 30, 2021 (Moberly, MO) – Moberly Regional Medical Center (MRMC) has launched two telemedicine programs which will provide North Central Missourians with access for evaluation and treatment of neurological and cardiac conditions. Telecardiology was implemented in July and teleneurology will be implemented this fall.
“We are extremely excited to enhance the level of care provided at MRMC,” Parsons said. “With this implementation, we have the potential to change the way cardiac and neurological care is delivered by allowing faster response times for strokes, heart attacks and more.”
Health care providers at MRMC can connect with board-certified cardiologists or neurologists via secure, high-resolution technology in minutes. On-site respiratory therapists, nurses, and other physicians have access consultation to diagnose and treat patients with complex conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, severe headaches, multiple sclerosis, arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, and other neurological and cardiac conditions.
“Our patients rely on us to be there for them, no matter their health care need,” said Parsons. “With the teleneurology and telecardiology programs, we can care for more of our patients with serious conditions right here at home.”
