Moberly Regional Medical Center Donates to Local Organization to Honor Medical Staff for National Doctor’s Day

To celebrate National Doctor’s Day this year, Moberly Regional Medical Center found a unique way to thank the providers who serve at the hospital. In lieu of gifts, MRMC donated money to charity in honor of its medical staff.
“We want to say a big thank you to all of our medical staff,” said Michael Hall, MRMC CEO. “Our hospital is fortunate to have every single one of our providers on our medical staff, and on Doctor’s Day we acknowledge their contributions, sacrifices, and skills.”
Earlier this month, the physicians gathered to determine what cause they wanted the money to go toward. They elected to donate to the Moberly Friends of the Park Foundation. In celebration of National Doctors’ Day, hospital leadership from MRMC will present a check to members of the Friends of the Park Foundation.
“So many citizens of Moberly and the surrounding communities use the Moberly Parks facilities all year round,” Hall said. “From the walking trail system to the athletic facilities to the mini-train, there is so much offered for healthy living and recreation.”
The Moberly Friends of the Park Foundation was founded in 1985 to attract donations for the Moberly Parks and Recreation Department to supplement the tax revenues for maintenance, repair, and capital projects. In addition, Friends of the Park volunteers provide assistance with the promotion of tax issues to support park operations and improvements.
