Join Moberly Regional Medical Center’s Heart Month Celebrations
2/1/2023
Moberly, MO (Feb. 1, 2023) – February is American Heart Month. It’s a time for Moberly Regional Medical Center (MRMC) healthcare providers and staff members to help educate our community about heart health, wellness and heart disease prevention. The MRMC cardiac staff make it their mission, not only during heart month, but every month, to fight one of the country’s most costly and deadly diseases.
Heart disease can impact anyone. So, MRMC is hosting events throughout the month of February to provide education about heart health and heart disease prevention. Events include:
Friday, February 3
National Wear Red Day/Go Red for Women. Join MRMC staff in wearing red on Friday, Feb 3.
Thursday, February 23
MRMC will hold its “Heart Health Lunch & Learn” event at MRMC in the Education Conference Room from 12 - 1 p.m., where you’ll be able to talk with Dr. Dana Valencia, cardiologist at MRMC, about heart care, enjoy a heart-healthy lunch and schedule an appointment with a heart specialist or primary care provider. Registration is free and required at www.eventbrite.com/e/529801489517.
During Heart Month, MRMC staff members will be raising funds for the American Heart Association during their Friday Jeans Days. Staff members pay $10 for the month to wear jeans each Friday, and money collected will be donated to the American Heart Association.
Adding on to the events, MRMC invites you to celebrate American Heart Month by accepting a challenge. Sign up for our 28-Day Healthy Heart Challenge and we will send you an email every day in February featuring bite-sized articles, tips and a daily challenge to help reduce your risk of heart disease and boost your heart health.
