Directors and Employee of 2021 Announced at Moberly Regional Medical Center
4/8/2022
MOBERLY, Mo. (April 8, 2022) – Moberly Regional Medical Center Chief Executive Officer Brent Parsons recently announced the 2021 Directors and Employee of the Year: Rob Kloski, director of physical and occupational therapy and medical imaging, was recognized as clinical director of 2021; Patty Clark, clinical educator and risk manager, was named the 2021 non-clinical director of the year; and Gerri Lewis, respiratory therapist, was named 2021 employee of the year.
Kloski has been at MRMC since May 2006. As director, Rob provides overall management and strategic leadership of the physical therapy and imaging services departments. Rob serves on the following MRMC committees: Volume Committee, Patient Experience Committee and Stroke Committee.
“There are directors and there are leaders–Rob is a director by title, but a leader by definition,” Parsons said. “He is always there for his staff and oftentimes can be found working right beside them. He fills in shifts when needed, and he is available 24/7 to his staff members if they have issues or problems. He can always be counted on and is a great communicator and problem solver.”
Clark has been employed at MRMC since 1992. In her current role, Patty provides education and clinical staff development of professional clinical staff throughout the facility. She also provides education and competency assessment, oversees new nurse orientation, and patient experience. Patty has overseen the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses and serves on the Patient Family Committee, Patient Experience Committee Environment of Care Committee and Stroke Committee.
“We need about 200 Patty Clarks in this hospital,” her nomination form stated. “She can truly handle every situation with grace, care, and passion. When she rounds on our patients, you know their experience will improve no matter what just because of her presence.”
Lewis has been part of the respiratory therapy team at MRMC since February 1994. As director, Gerri is responsible for respiratory care procedures necessary to implement treatment, disease prevention, pulmonary rehabilitation and diagnostic regimes prescribed by physicians.
According to her nomination form, “Gerri embodies positivity that radiates throughout the facility. She is always willing to step up to help others and do so with a smiling face. She is a name that is constantly in the pool for employee of the month because she is nominated by so many co-workers who she positively impacts. This pandemic has been stressful for all in healthcare, and you would never know this based on Gerri’s constant pleasant, dedicated and caring demeanor.”
