Moberly Regional Medical Center Marks 40th Anniversary

MOBERLY, Mo. (May 6, 2021) - Moberly Regional Medical Center will celebrate its 40th anniversary on May 10, 1981 during National Hospital Week 2021. From the beginning, known for quality care, MRMC provides a wide range of services to more than 80,000 patients annually from Moberly and the surrounding communities.
“It’s amazing to realize all of the advancements and accomplishments that have taken place over the past four decades,” said MRMC Chief Executive Officer Brent Parsons. "Our theme is ‘40 years of people caring for people,’ and that couldn’t be more true. It's inspiring to see how many employees, physicians, nurses, and volunteers have been dedicated to caring for the people in the communities we are so proud to serve.”
Forty years after opening the doors, MRMC is a 99-bed with 37 active physicians, 25 courtesy physicians, 24 consulting physicians, and 14 allied health professionals. Additionally, MRMC houses a Heart & Vein Center, Senior Behavioral Health Unit, Wound and Hyperbaric Center, Wellness Center, Laboratory and Imaging Center, and more. MRMC is fully accredited by The Joint Commission, is designated as a Level 3 Stroke Center by the Missouri Time Critical Diagnosis System, and earned a 3-Star CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) Quality Star Rating.
The original design for patient care and comfort has expanded into a sprawling medical campus that includes Moberly Rural Health Clinic, Moberly Diagnostics, and MRMC Therapy and Wellness. Connected to MRMC in the Professional Arts Building is Moberly Specialty Group, which offers services for orthopedics, gastroenterology, general surgery, UROGYN, and urology.
While celebrating the past, MRMC administration continues to focus on the future by enhancing the level of care provided. Later this year MRMC will bring telecardiology and teleneurology services to patients. Additionally, Clark Butler, D.O., will join the Moberly Rural Health Clinic primary care providers in August. A graduate of A.T. Still University medical school, Dr. Butler is a member of the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons and the American Osteopathic Association.
