Moberly Regional Medical Center congratulates Bill Carpentar, RN as the May 2011 Employee of the Month and the winner of the Nursing Patient's Choice Award for 2011.

Bill began his career at MRMC on June 2, 1981, just 23 days after the hospital opened its doors for business. Bill has held a variety of nursing roles and worked in a variety of departments. ER was his first nursing assignment, followed by a House Supervisor role, Medical Clinic, CCU, then he set up the first utilization review in the mid 80's at MRMC. Bill was instrumental in launching the case manager nursing position at MRMC. Bill was the Director of the Skilled Nursing Unit for eight years, then transitioned into a more nursing administrative role as Clinical Coordinator of Wound Care and Assistant Director of Nursing. Finally, his most recent home is the Medical Surgical Unit, where he has been recognized as an Employee of the Month.

"I absolutely love the direct patient care," comments Bill. "I love the people and helping them get better."

Bill also talks about the Moberly Hospital very positively, "MRMC has matured so much over the past few years to be able to provide absolutely top notch health care. We have some of the most highly trained people in the area that is taking care of our patients, and I love being part of that." Bill graduated from the Law Enforcement Academy in 1982 and has been a Reserve Deputy with the Macon County Sheriffs Office ever since. He is a Certified Peace Officer with the State of Missouri, and has been an active member of the Missouri Narcotics Officers for the past twelve years. If that wasn't enough...Bill also is a full-time cattle farmer. He and his wife, Debbie live near Bevier and have raised two twin daughters; Jody and Jennifer.
